Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) may generate most of its revenue from smartphones and services like its App Store and Apple Music streaming service, but this week the company focused on Macs.
On Tuesday, Apple unveiled a new lineup of MacBook Pro laptops that come with more processing power than ever. But arguably the laptop’s biggest improvement is a new butterfly keyboard that is supposed to be free of the defects that caused keys to stick or stop working in previous models.
The top-end MacBook Pro that comes with the Intel Core i9 processor and 32GB of memory is priced at $6,500.
The MacBook Pro contains faster 8th- and 9th-generation Intel Core processors, bringing eight cores to MacBook Pro for the first time.
The device delivers two times faster performance than a quad-core MacBook Pro and 40 percent more performance than a 6-core MacBook Pro, making it the fastest Mac notebook ever, according to the company.
More Apple developments, including a rumored announcement of the Apple watchOS 6, will be released in June at the Apple Worldwide Developer’s Conference.
